Process Paper
I choose my topic by looking at a list of names. A couple stood out to me, one of course was Princess Diana. I choose Princess Diana because she is a princess. I wanted to see why a princess could leave a legacy and how. Most people think an image of a Princess is a person who wears a crown and has people do everything for them all day. Not only that but I wondered why she had left a legacy and it intrigued me. She was a person who became famous. She used her fame to bring awareness to the tragic things happening in the world. She brought awareness to many causes. A variety of people looked up to Princess Diana. I conducted my research by going on my school website and clicking the media center tab. Once I did that there was another tab I clicked called online resources that lead me to websites for reliable sources. Some of those websites included 'Gale Virtual Reference Library' and 'World Book'. I searched up her name, read the articles and found useful information. I choose which websites would be helpful and which would not. Afterwards I gathered the resourceful websites to include in my annotated bibliography. I started my project by opening www.weebly.com. I made an account and played around with it. I clicked all the buttons and tried to figure out how to do things. I had never made a website before so it was all new to me. I found out how to do the pages, titles, fonts and colors. After that I found pictures to put on each slide and put a caption under each one. Later I wrote what I had written on my outline which was a mini paragraph on that slide. Then I looked at the websites I had saved for my sources and elaborated each slide. I looked up information I could put in each one. My project relates to the theme because Princess Diana had done many things to help people when she was alive. Her main work was her assistance with charities. She used the fame she had to bring attention to problems in the world which really inspires me. Princess Diana had left a legacy because she helped with awareness to horrible problems and connected with the victims of these problems. She didn't visit victims to things such as aids and homelessness to look like a good princess, she did it because she truly cared for all of those people and wanted to help. No one will ever be as caring and make as much of a difference as she did.
